Head of Programme

Programme is all about the fun stuff!

I have been involved in Scouting, on and off since I was a Cub Scout in Hampshire in the late 60s…a long time ago!  I got back into Scouting (as many of us do when my son was a Cub Scout) as a Cub Assistant, Exec member, Chairman of the Exec and now the Group Scout Leader at 1st Wraysbury, near Windsor.

In my professional life I planned, designed and implemented telecoms supporting check-in, ticketing and baggage systems for airlines and airports, working for a not for profit based in Geneva. I took a work
break, initially planned to be one year, but enjoyed it so much that I decided to make it permanent. The combination of time available and the opportunity to organise WINGS was irresistible. Professionally, I was an organiser and planner and this together with my passion for Scouting, outdoors and Windsor Great Park make this my perfect job. I’m happily married, with two adult and now independent kids, live near Windsor and in my now ample spare time, walk, run, ski, read and garden.

The WINGS programme is split across seven activities: Climbing & Ropes, Water, On Site, Backwoods, Great Park & Town, Stage & Entertainment and WINGS in a Day; each of which will have a leader. Please get in touch with me at andy.bouch@wings2020.org.uk if you want to be part of running this great event.
